Whitney Tatum | Owner & Principal Designer

Whitney Tatum is the visionary and principal designer for Studio Tatum. After a career in event design and executive management with one of the region's top event design and production firms, Whitney, along with her husband, branched out to design a firm of their own in 2021. Whitney has designed multi-million dollar projects from one-of-a-kind show homes to influential executives from coast to coast, and everything in between.  She credits the growth of the company and the quality product produced to the creative and logistical minds on the Studio Tatum team.

  • I absolutely love working with our team, our clients, and our contractors. It brings me joy to be able to create and problem-solve on a daily basis. I live for the finished product, but the process of getting there is just as exciting to me.

  • Dubai. I love their approach to a grand, luxe space with a mix of traditional into a contemporary palette.

  • I'm more of a big-picture designer. I like to work through how each room relates to the overall home or overall design.

  •  Notebook, Twist Erase .7mm Pencil (I'm a pencil gal!), and a Laser Measurer.

  • House Brew with 1/4" half and half, and 1 Splenda

  • My laser measure, travel hairbrush (I loathe tangled hair), and my notebook that I write everything down in—it's like an extension of myself.

  • Strawberry Sunrise Alani is my preferred drink to get my caffeine fix, but Nespresso Mexico Origin with 2 tbsp creamer will do if absolutely necessary.
